CAPACITY CROWDS CONVERGE FOR CHRIS YOUNG SHOWS IN CHARLOTTE AND WINSTON-SALEM
Nashville, Tenn…(February 28, 2011)…In between opening dates for Rascal Flatts’ Nothing Like This Tour, Chris Young recently entertained capacity crowds in North Carolina with headlining shows at Charlotte’s Coyote Joe’s and Winston-Salem’s Johnny & June’s Ultra Saloon.
More than 2,700 people packed Coyote Joe’s in Charlotte to catch the “Tomorrow” singer perform his string of recent #1 hits, including “Voices,” “The Man I Want To Be” and his GRAMMY® nominated tune, “Gettin’ You Home.”
“It’s been great watching Chris become one of the most popular country artists in Charlotte,” shares WSOC/Charlotte OM/PD DJ Stout. “His last three singles have been top testers at WSOC so it didn’t surprise me when he sold out Coyote Joe’s. He’s a great guy and a great artist who is on the verge of being a superstar.”
After performing to a capacity crowd at Winston-Salem’s Johnny & Junes Ultra Saloon, WPAW Assistant Program Director Clay JD Walker declares of Young, “You know an artist has ‘it’ when rabid fans hang outside a sold-out club in the cold to hear a muffled song through the club’s walls.”
“Tomorrow,” is the lead single from Young’s upcoming third album NEON, set to release this summer.
