Kenny Chesney “Clearly Ready For The Massive Crowds” (Billboard), Kicks Off Biggest Tour In Five Years This Week
NASHVILLE, TN – March 16, 2011 — Upwards of 600,000 fans who already own tickets for the 2011 Corona Presents Kenny Chesney’s ‘Goin’ Coastal’ Tour can expect the superstar performer’s “trademark blend of mega-tour production and a hit-laden set list,” according to a Billboard report from the last of Chesney’s rehearsals for what is sure to be one of the year’s biggest tours.
During the rehearsal, Chesney and his seven-piece band ran through his entire set, which features plenty of selections from his vast catalog of number one hits as well as a handful of songs from his number one album ‘Hemingway’s Whiskey’ (BNA), including “The Boys of Fall,” “Somewhere With You,” and current single “Live a Little.” Billboard raves “the production includes a wealth of dazzling video elements and opportunities for Chesney to interact closely with the audience” and that he is “clearly ready for the massive crowds” he will play to.

He recently told The Tennessean he is “anxious” to hit the road once again on the 2011 Corona Presents Kenny Chesney’s ‘Goin’ Coastal’ tour. The tour begins at Cruzan Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach this Thursday, March 17, with the first stadium date at Raymond James Stadium on March 19, and wraps up with two shows at Gillette Stadium on August 27 and 28, with nearly 60 stadiums, amphitheaters and arenas in between.
Chesney will swing through Houston between tour dates to headline the Capital One JamFest, a free music festival during the 2011 NCAA’s Men’s Final Four Weekend. Chesney will perform on April 3 at Discovery Green in downtown Houston.
