Mobile Roadie Smartphone App Goes Wide To iPhone, Android, BlackBerry
(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) Singer, songwriter and entertainer Toby Keith will perform two songs during the April 19 episode of Dancing With The Stars on ABC. The performance was announced on the Premiere of Season 12 on March 21. And when Keith's fans aren't watching his televised performances, they can connect with him through the Mobile Roadie app.
Now available for iPhone, Android and BlackBerry users, the app provides access to music, show schedules, tickets, photos, Keith's official store and the interactive Fan Wall. Launched on iPhone in December of last year, it now offers near-universality for the dedicated follower.
The Toby Keith app offers another way to keep up with the hard-charging Oklahoman, and it's a task that seems to require all the technology a fan can muster. Keith has just released the single "Somewhere Else" to radio, a song he calls "my favorite track on the album." The album in question is Bullets In The Gun, Keith's latest, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200.
Both join an accomplished lineage, as Toby has been topping album and singles charts for close to 20 years. His self-composed songs have amassed an astounding 70 million airplay spins and the music he writes and records has become the foundation of a far-reaching entertainment empire.
Last year's American Ride Tour ranked as one of the year's top draws, giving Keith more than a decade of bringing a million fans to his shows. The Ford F-series-sponsored 2011 Locked & Loaded Tour will replicate the feat beginning June 30 in Mt. Pleasant, MI. Beyond his rapport with music fans and radio, Keith is also highly respected by his peers, and he's again up for Entertainer of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards, an honor he's won twice. This year's show is April 3 on CBS.
