TRACE ADKINS ASKS FANS TO REDIRECT THEIR SUPPORT TO AMERICAN RED CROSS VIA CMT ONE COUNTRY
“I have been blessed. My kids are ok, my wife is ok. I have my guitar and my songs. Everything else can be replaced. Unfortunately, there are families out there who need help if they’re to rebuild after these recent storms. The American Red Cross was one of the first on the scene to help my family and, through their work, others will receive the assistance they need to get back on their feet,” said Trace.
Over the upcoming week, Trace will keep his performance commitments and return to Alaska for his shows in Fairbanks, AK on Wednesday (6/8) and Anchorage, AK on Thursday (6/9). His family, who is well settled at their farm outside Nashville, will rejoin him this weekend for his CMA Fan Fest performance at LP Field.
The Adkins’ family farm served as the location for Trace’s brand new video for his hit single, “Just Fishin’.” The song is a father’s tender tribute to his daughter and reiterates the importance of quality time with loved ones. The video stars Trace, and youngest daughter Trinity, in a day on the lake. The video can now be seen online, on CMT and GAC and is available for download today at iTunes. Trace’s partnership with CMT ONE COUNTRY most recently resulted in his participation in their live, 90-minute concert special, MUSIC BUILDS, featuring performances by an A-List of Country Stars to raise funds for those affected by recent devastating storms, flooding and tornadoes. All money raised from that event benefitted the American Red Cross Disaster Relief efforts.

ABOUT TRACE ADKINS:
Trace Adkins is one of Country music's most versatile and accomplished entertainers. His instantly recognizable baritone has earned 30 charted singles and 15 Top Ten hits gold, platinum, and multi-platinum albums with total sales surpassing 10 million. He is a sought-after television personality, an accomplished actor, a world-class voiceover narrator and commercial spokesman and a successful author.
Literally an entertainment mega-star (he's 6' 6"), Adkin's stint on The Celebrity Apprentice earned him recognition beyond Country music and his recent supporting role in The Lincoln Lawyer (Lionsgate) has carried that even further.
A member of the Grand Ole Opry, Adkins was raised on Country and Gospel and is known as a traditionalist who speaks his mind and honors the past. Hits such as "Every Light In The House Is On," "This Ain't No Thinkin' Thing," and "You're Gonna Miss This," feature the heart-felt sentiment that Country music is known for. However, as his fans know, his range also extends to the rowdy side. Having played his fair share of honky tonks on his way up, it was obvious from the start that the rowdy barroom anthem, "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk," would become an across-the-board phenomenon, while his "All I Ask For Anymore," is a moving modern masterpiece that earned Grammy nominations for Best Male Country Performance and Best Country Song.
As his latest and rapidly-charting new single, "Just Fishin'" introduces a new album to be released by Show Dog – Universal Music in the Summer of 2011, Adkins continues to criss-cross the U.S. on tour.
